, ANNUAL MELTING. From Our Own Correspondent. Carterton, August 19. The annual meotiug of the Wairarapa Bowling Centre was held at Carterton last night, Masterton, Carterton, Featherstoil, Martinboiough, Greytown, Masterton Park, and Eki-tahuna being represented. Mr. F. W. Smith, president, was in the chair. The balance-sheet, showing a credit of J 37 13s. Gd.. was adopted. The Dominion Bowling Association invited nominations of players likrly to fake part in an A B C tourney at Adelaide, and the matter was referred to the clubs. The resignation of M& Phillpotts as secretary was accepted, and it was decided to place on record the centre's appreciation of his long services, and a small bonus was granted the retiring officer. Thr election of officers resulted: President, Mr. R. N. Merton (Mnrtinborough); vice-president, Mr. F. Tyler (Carterton); secretary, Mr. G. Hayne (Mastertoil) % leecmtivj), Messrs. Morton, Tyler. and Smith. It was decided to ascertain from other centres the .constitution under which they work. All clubs are to be notified that the result of each match must Ixt forwarded to- the centra secretary by the secretary of tho winning club. The question as to whether the competition matches should be divided into sections. North v. South, was discussed, and finally deferred until a Int-r meeting to bo called by. the president.
