ST. JAMES’S CHURCH

The annual congregational mooting of St. James's Presbyterian Church, Wellington South, was held on Wednesday evening, the Rov. William Shirer, minister, presiding. Tho report gave the following details: Communicant members, 390; additions by certificate 36, by examination 26; removals, 52; attendance at communion, 248, <319, 275, 2.94; baptisms, 53; services conducted at burials, 37; persons under pastoral care, over 1000. The number on the Sunday School roll was 294. There were 33 teachers- The craoie roH had 100 names; the young men’s Bimo classes had 63 members, and the young women's Bi bio classso 40 members. Here were 65 members connected with the Women’s Missionary Union. The gross avenue aiuou nted to A considerable amount was raised for objects outside the congregation.
