Tn the Supreme Court to-day M illiam Llewellyan Trcveihick was sentenced to reformative treatment for a period not exceeding three vears for obtaining goods valued at .1:32 from the Farmers’ Trading Company by' false representation. Helen Sinclair Macdonald, aped 1,, who admitted two charges of counselling th® forgery of her brother’s name on an Auckland Savings Bank account, was imprisoned for three months, with a recommendation that she bo placed in an industrial institution. John Robert. Draffin. (23), who was stated to have resisted for five months overtures by Macdonald to forge her brother’s signature, was admitted to probation for three years, and ordered to restore the money drawn from the bank LCI4 IGs). and pay tho costs of the prosecution (.£3 18s.). . Flora Ellen Waite was sentenced to one month’s hard labour for concealment of birth. The case was the outcome of tho discovery of the charred remains of an infant in the Mount Eden prison laundry. Matina Taar admitted obtaining J? 22 from the "Registrar of the Native Land Court by impersonating his brother. He was admitted to probation for two years, and ordered io pay .£(>, costs of the prosecution, within three months.
