The twenty-second annual report of the Brougham Hill Tennis Club states that the membership for the past season was 105, and the club regretted having to turn away prospective members, as the limit had been reached. The club holds five out of the seven inter-club competitions arranged by the Wellington P.L.T. Association, as follows Men’s competition: Senior (shield), junior (cup), pennant (third class). Ladies’ competition: Junior (cup), pennant (third class). The club’s handicap events resulted as follow Alon’s singles: S. Wyatt. Doubles: N. Goldie and 8. Wyatt. Combined doubles: Miss It. Howe and S. Wyatt. Ladies’ singles: Miss R. Howe. Doubles: Misses. R. Howe and M. Williams. At the Christmas tournament of tho N.Z.L.I.A. the Wilding Memorial Challenge Cup an< Gold Medal for juniors was won by Miss Rita Howe. At tho Dannevirke tournament Miss Rita Howe won the girls* singles. The club’s championships resulted as follow:—Men’s singles, Len France; men’s doubles, Len France and 11. V. Howe; combined doubles, Leu France and Aliss Rita. Howe; ladies singles, Airs. Turnbull; ladies’ doubles Aliases Rita Howe and AL Williams.
