CARDINAL’S ADVICE TO BAVARIANS (Rec. August 17, 8.20 p.m.) Berlin, August'l6. In deference to public opinion, Cabinet has abolished tho 10.30 p.m. closing licensing order, substituting one o’clock in the morning. Cardinal Faulhabea, addresamg ex-sol-diers in Munich, condemned the Bavarians’ imitation of tho Berliners’ drinking strong nlo. Ho said: “Bavaria ought not to imitate every brainless innovation from Berlin. Bavaria ought to prevent the remodelling of her schools on the Prussian pattern.”—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
