CRICKET

The annual general meeting of the Institute Old Boys’ Cricket Club was held on Monday. Mr. P. W. Banks presided. The election of officers resulted as un-der-.-President, Mr. L. T. Watkins; hon. secretary, Mr. 11. H. Spolsky; hon. treasurer, Mr. N. D. Smith; Management Committee, Messrs. F. Thomas, D. Burt. P. Banks. L. Calvert, and N. Griffiths; delegate to the W.C.A., Mr. N. Griffiths. After some discussion It was proposed to enter a senior team. This course was adopted ns it was considered that the club having many young players playing for Institute teams coming on that some inducement should bo offered to them, and a senior team would meet these requirements. It was also decided to enter two junior teams (one junior A and one junior B), and a third-class team. A. vote of thanks was passed to the outgoing officers and the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chair.
