WALKING
IS IT A LOST ART? In these modern days the splendid exercise of walking, according to D . H. J. M'Lean, C.8.E., ia much ignored. This statement was made by him at the lecture given under .the auspice of the Red Cross Society and Order of St John. By walking, he thought, one could both benefit one’s self physically, and eave money. “Which is the better?” he asked: “spending money, or gaming Bpite of what the city authorities may X, the trams are not nn unmixed blessing I consider them, in the main. Dr. M'Lean explained, he did not mean that a person living at Seatoun should walk right into town every morning. “But they can rule one section less I” he added, with a smile.
