The "New York Times” Washington correspondent says the State Department has been officially informed that M. Briand will head the French delegation at the armament conference. Mr. Hughes (Secretary of State) hns asked Congress to appropriate 200,000 dollam as the expense of the American delegation during the first two months. Paris reports that English will be tho only official language at the conference are denied here. It is announced that French will also be used.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. .
