ARMY NO LONGER OF MILITARY IMPORTANCE STATEMENT BY GREEK WAR MI NISTER By Telegranli—Press Association— Copyright (Rec. August 12, 7.5 p.m.) Athens, August 11. Semi-official. —The War Minister, reviewing the military position, said the Kemalist army was totally crushed and was no longer of military importance. Regarding peace, Greece did not want to repeat past mistakes, and would demand guarantees against tho enemy attacking Greece again, and also secure the liberated populations from - further oppression.
The newspapers state that the General Staff has decided that the territories outside the delimitation of the Turkish Treaty shall be placed under an independent military administration under Greek laws. —Reuter.
