The Farmers’ Conference resolved in favour of the division of the present unwieldy States into smaller areas and dispensing with the present expensive, nonefficient system of State Government, and against making the . High Commissionership a refuge for worn-out politicians. The farmers’ ballot decided in favour of a pool against an open wheat market. —Press Assn.
