THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY Present indications are for freshening westerly winds, squally at times. In and southward of Cook Strait. Unsettled weather, with rain, is probable in the West Coast and southernmost districts, but fair to cloudy In the East Coast. The barometer has a falling tendency in the south. Atmospheric pressure has increased further in the north, but has decreased slowly in the extreme south, and moderate to stronc southerly to westerly winds have prevailed. Changeable and showery conditions have been experienced in West Coast districts, while fair weather has ruled along the East Coast. D. O. RATES. Director. Meteorological Office. Wellington.
