NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph—Press Association Christchurch, August 10. Following are the results of to-day’s play in the New Zealand billiards championship Fredatovitch (Auckland) beat Bowie (Auckland) by 666 to 633; W. Smith (Christchurch) beat E. V. Roberts (Auckland) by 666 to 493.

INTER-CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP.

The semi-finals in the inter-club chamS ionship played P.t Billiards, Limited, ist night, resulted in a win for Tucker (Federal Club), who had his club-mate (Spencer) as opponent. Play was not particularly bright at any stage, both players indulging in safety tactics and keeping the game close. Tucker held the lead throughout, and reached his points with a margin of 73 to tho good. The best brakes were:—Tucker, 87 and 25; Spencer, 29 and 28. An exhibition game of snooker was played by two fine exponents which gave tho largo audience some insight in the finer points of winning hazard play. To-night at 8 o’clock the finals, 500 up, will be contested by Tapp, of the Working Men’s Club, and Tucker (Fedoral Club).
