FIRE ON A LAUNCH
OWNER HAS NARROW ESCAPE. ■By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, August 10. The launch Eileen Bell, owned by IV. P. Bronlund, and valued at £l5OO, caught fire last night from an explosion, which was caused by fumes from tho cargo igniting. Mr. Bronlund had a narrow escape from, the cabin, the roof of which was blown off. He was severely burned. The City Brigade extinguished the flames. The cabin was destroyed, and the hull somewhat damaged. Tho engine was damaged to the extent of £5OO. The above report should prompt those who are uninsured to call on the Australian Provincial Assurance Assn., Ltd., (A.P.A.), 219 Lambton Quay. 'Phone 70. —Advt.
