SHORTHORN BREEDERS
ASSOCIATION CHANGES NAME. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, August 10. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Shorthorn Cattle Breeders’ Association, the name was changed to “Shorthorn Society of New Zealand.” Officials elected were as follow:—President, Mr. R. E. Alexander (Lincoln); vice-presi-dent, Mr. A. Hunter (Hawera); council, Messrs. W. G. Park (To Awamutu), G. Stoddart (Lincoln), R. Millar (Wbangarci), and J. A. Johnstone (Dunedin). An award of 14 shields for champion hulls during tho coming season was allot tod to tho following shows:—Hamilton, Manawatu, Carterton, Gisborne, Whangarei, Napier, Wanganui, Christchurch, Ellesmere, Dunedin, Invercargill, Timaru, Ashburton, and Gore.
