The New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Distributing Co. Ltd., report, on their Taihape sale as follows:—A heavy yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle camo forward to a pood attendance ot buyers. > Good wethers and hoggets were in fair demand, but inferior lince, especially ewes, were hard to quit. However, with the exception of two or three pens the whole of our yarding changed hands Cattle were on a par with, late rates. W e quote: Fat wethers. 15s. 7d. to 20s. 3d.; fat ewes to 14s. 3d.; forward empty ewes, to 9s. 5d.; 2-tooth wethers. 13s. r inferior ewes, in lamb. ss. 9d. to 7s. 8d ; wethrr hoggets, to 10s. 2d.; ewe hoggets. Bs. 7d. to IDs. lid.; mixed hoggets, 10s. 5d.: medium sorts. 6s. lOd. to Es Id.; fat bullocks (light). £7 155.; 2-year steers, £3 118.; dairy cows. £9 10s. to £lO 2s. 6d.; inferior sorts, £5 10s. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company. Limited, report having held their weekly sale at Levin on Tuesday in pouring rain and driving sleet. There was an average yarding of sheep and store cattle, but a very large entry of dairy stock and a small offering of pigs. These -latter sold very well, but sheep were hard to quit at any price. Store cattle, as of late, were neglected, and owing to the large of dairy cattle these also were difficult of sale. They quote: Store pigs I£2 to £2 7s 6d.; porkers, £3 195.; ewe hoggets, Bs. to. Bs. 6d.- ewes In lamb to Southdown rams. Ils.; forward store cows. £3 10s.; 2-ycar steers, £2 145.; dairy cows. £5 to £l4 155.; dairy heifers. £3 to £4 IGe. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Palmerston North, report:—On Thursday, in conjunction with Messrs. Levin and Co.. Feildintr, we held a- highly successful sale on account of F. and At. Dorn, of Glen Oroua. Buyers attended in force and the ccws, which were first-class Jersey and Jersey cross, realised good values, selling as high as £3O, and the whole herd averaging, £l9 2s Quotations: Best cows £25 10s, to £3O; medium cows. £l7 to £25: threequarter and lat-o ealvers. £l2 to £l5; cows in milk. £7 to £l2 10s.; purebred yearling Jersey heifer, 24gns.; empty yearling heifers. £7 to £10: empty yearling heifers, £4 10s.: purebred Jersey bull. 43gns.; grade .Tcrsey bulls. 12gns. to 17gns.; porkers. £2 15s. to £3 155.: slips, 32b. to £2 55.; sow and litter, £5 15h.
