THE WEATHER
FORBCAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for north-weet to south-west gales, and boisterous weather with heavy showers, rivers flooded in tho west coast, and southernmost districts, and snow on the higher levdis. Barometer unsteady, but rising after about 20 hours. An extensive westerly disturbance still dominates. High westerly winds and unsettled boisterous conditions have been experienced generally, with occasional heavy rain, particularly in districts with a westerly aspect. D. C. BATES, Director.
