SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY

The seafarers wore the guests of tho Khandallah branch of the W.N.R. on Tuesday at tho Sailors' Friend Society. The performers were:—-Mesdamcs Burge and Bath. Misses Page. Hare, and Messrs. M'CHlmore. Meek. Tingey, Tanner. Floyd, Smith. Sonuerson. Allsh A. Hare was at. tho piano. Hospitality was dispensed by tho reserve. “Success" was Mr. Moore's temperance subject. Men responded and entered their names in. the pledge-book. Frizes for the competition aamo from tho reserve, Mrs. Styles, and Mr. B. M- Griffiths, and went to Pakeha and men in port.
