Both men were at times brilliant, but the tight pockets and the championship conditions embarrassed them. The game ended: Tapp, 300; Toms. 196; and the best breaks were: Winner. 41 and 21; loser. 19. In the second round Duncan, Returned Soldiers Club nlayed Harrison, Post and Telegraph Club and suffered defeat by 40 odd points. Harrison’s best breaks were: 36. /.nnd 23- and Dunean's. 24 and 19. To-night, a« 7 o’clock, Sim, the pre«ent holder. w> l nlay his club-mate. Arnold Williama. of the Federal Club, at 8.15. Munroe, Returned Soldiers’ Club, will piny Tyrrell, of the Post and Telegraph Chub.
