Possibly the absence of such conversations is accountable for the delay, or on the other hand Mr. de Valera may have found difficulty in composing the divergencies between the moderates and extremists with the Sinn Fein movement, especially in regard to dropping republican aspirations for allegiance to the Crown.—Aus.-N.Z.
