DAMAGE BY STORM
LIGHTNING STRIKES HOUSES. Bv Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, August 3. During a storm lost night two houses at Mount Albert were struck by lightning, and chimneys were smashed, bricks falling through the iron roof of one residence. Forty feet of fencing was also wrecked. A cyclist was thrown from his machine, and lay unconscious .on the Toad for a quarter of an hour.
