ST. MARY’S BAZAAR

Despite unpleasant weather conditions n good attendance was in evidence at the Town Hall last evening. The brilliant lighting, harmonious blending of colour effects, bright entertainments, first-class music, and tho many novelties and sideshows help the bazaar to go with a swing. Tho pierrots last evening were responsible for a really enjoyable programme, which met with hearty applause. The first part of tho programme consisted of opening chorus, "Come to Our Show," spiritedly rendered by the company. The comedy quartet occasioned much amusement with their capital rendering of "Italiano di Lingo." Miss Alix Anstis’s fine voice was heard t 0 advantage in "In An Old-fashioned Town.” "Oh! By Jingo,” sung by Miss Evelyn O'Brien-and tho company was very well received. "Come to the Bazaar,” a finale number to the first part of the programme, was splendidly sung, and expressed exactly the wish of the bazaar promoters. "Finnigan’s Ball,” by tho comedy quartet; "Swanee,” with Miss Eileen O’Brien as soloist, "Some Humour," by George Tollerton ; and a finale item, "Good Night,” brought a capital programme to a close. Braund’s Elite Orchestra accompanied capably. To-night a complete change of programme will be put on. The pupils of Miss Kathleen O’Brien will give a programme of dancing item®. Good business was’reported from the different stalls and side-shows. The bazaar opens every evening at 7.30. THE QUEEN CONTEST.
