SUPREME AUTHORITY ESTABLISHED. Sydney, August 2. By disallowing an application to appeal to the Privy Council, the High Court of Australia now has finally established the principle that the Commonwealth within the sphere of its constitutional activities possesses supreme legislative and executive authority over the States.— Press Assn.
