IN BANKRUPTCY
MEETING OF CREDITORS. A meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of Norman E. Png?, labourer, formerly a taxi-car proprietor, was held at the Dominion Farmers’ Institute yesterday. Tho Official Assignee (Mr. S. Tansley) presided, and there worn eight creditors present. Bankrupt’s liabilities totalled £635 25., and tho estimated deficiency was .£535 4a. 7d. Tho principal creditors wore: A. 8. Paterson and Co., .£76; Repatriation Department. .£104; M. Deck? ton, .6196; Motor Tyre Repair Cd., .£37 7s. 6d.; Bett and Bailey, Palmerston North. £24 12s. fid. Bankrupt, who was represented by Mr. W. G. Mellish. put in a written statement in which he declared that ho started in business by borrowing £.50 from the War Relief Association in September, 1918, in order to pay a, deposit on his first car. Ho attributed his bankruptcy to sickness, lack of. capital, bod luck in connection with the lease of his prs rniatw, and an accident to tho machinery fn his garage. Tho meeting adjourned till Wednesday afternoon in order to allow bankrupt to 'produce his books.
