SHEARERS’ WAGES
DEMANDS IN NEVI 7 SOUTH WALES. (Rec. July- 21, 8.10 p.m.) Sydney, July 21. A manifesto has been issued by the Australian Workers’ Union, claiming for New South Wales shearers a 44-hour week and rates of pay ranging from 40s. to 80s. per 10(1 sheep, according to class, where rations are not found, and 80s. per week Jess where the men are rationed. Breakdown allowances where men are rationed -are fixed at 18s., and where not found 225. 6d. per day—Press Assn.
