PROCEEDINGS REEFTON SITTING POSTPONED Tho first of the Conciliation Council sittings to be held for the purpose of discussing proposals for local agreements in the coal-mining industry was to have taken place at Reefton. to-day; but the Reefton sitting has been postponed indefinitely, and now the only date remaining fixed is August 4, for which the Dunedin sitting has been appointed. No dates for the Auckland and Christchurch sittings have yet been mentioned. The present proceedings have .been initiated by the coal mine owners, who desire that there shall be local agreements or awards in placo of the expired national agreement. Tho recent Dominion conference between the mine owners and the miners, it will be remembered, failed to reach agreement on any points. .
