THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for moderate to strong north-westerly to south-wester-ly winds. Weather fair to cloudy in the north, but expect changeable and squally conditions and scattered showers in and southward of Cook Strait. Barometer unsteady, with a. rising tendency again soon in the south. Southerly winds have decreased, and the weather has improved to-day.
