AUSTRALIAN STATE LOANS
WEST AUSTRALIA ISSUING TREASURY BILLS IN LONDON. (Rec. July 17, 5.5 p.m.) London, July 15. West Australia is placing six months Treasury Bills, amounting to two millions, at 5i per cent, discount. Owing to the recent issue of Treasury bonds, New South Wales and West Australian loans have been indefinitely postponed. It: is rumoured that New South Wales will follow West Australia’s expedient and issue Treasury bills. Both jvill issue loans later in the year.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
