RIDING WITHOUT LIGHTS
A CYCLIST'S DEATH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dannevirke, July 11. At- an inquest regarding the death of Lucy Willan on June 29, as the result of injuries received in a collision with another cyclist, the evidence showed that deceased and her sister were riding without lights, and the former was run into by a male cyclist, who also did not have a light. A verdict was returned that death was due to fracture of the base of the skull. The coroner strongly commented upon the practice of people riding bicycles and driving motor-cars without lights.
