At a meeting of the Tauranga County Council to-day n deputation urged that a. petition should be circulated among all local bodies in the Bay of Plenty and Waihi districts urging more rapid construction of the Esrt Coast railwayfrom YVaihi to Opotiki. The council passed a resolution agreeing, and «. petition will ba circulated accordingly.
