DETAILS OF SENIOR A GAMES WAKATU V. RAMBLERS. This match was, played on No. 1 ground, and proved, without doubt, tho best game of the day, and provided the spectators with a fast and interesting exhibition of hockey. The excellent combination of the Wakatu forward line was again responsible for adding another win to their list. The work of the Ramblers' backs was, however, superior to that of their opponents’ backs, Trilford and Blizzard doing particularly good work. D. Hood, Stratton and Wilson secured the goals for the winners, and Trilford and Ileaphy for the losers. Mr. Lloyd controlled the game. HUIA V. WESLEY. This game was of a fast and willing nature throughout, and proved a good exhibition of' the game to a fair number of spectators. Wesley played a splendid game .throughout, and were unfortunate in missing a. number of shots. Huia certainly are to be congratulated on the excellent combination, more particularly in the forward line. Scorers (Huia) Hailwood 2. D. Roxburgh 2, Keys and ' Butcher. (Wes>y) Brazendale 2, Philpotts. Mr. Empson was referee. UNITED V. PETONE. United had no difficulty in defeating Petone by 3 to nil, duo mainly to the superior combination of tho red and whites’ forward line, which hopelessly outclassed the efforts of tho Petone backs. It was anticipated that, from the result of this match in tho first round, a more even contest would hove eventuated, but citiier the suburban team had a day oft' on Saturday, or were particularly lucky in the first round match with United.
