Albert Cyril Ciults, 17 yf«r.-> of age, was charged with being a rogue, and a. vagabond in that ho was found al 2 a.ni. on Saturday without lawful excuse m a railway carriage in the Lambton Station yard. lie was remanded Io I'Tidnr,' Sub-1 m-poctor Willis stating that it was probable that other charges would be prmerrerl against Hie am used. J,ily Olift'e, a young woman, pleaded guilty to the theft of a. rug, valued at 305., the properly of Ellin Barnid.h. The rug was stolen from one second-hand shop and sold in another. Accused was convicted and ordered to conic up for sentence when called upon, on condition that she proceeded to Pakatoa and remained there for about 13 months.
