OIL INDUSTRY
COMMONWEALTH CORPORATION. (Rec. July 9, 5.5 p.m.) London, July 7. A meeting of tho Commonwealth Oil Corporation adopted a report which showed that the net result nf the year’s working was n loss of .£4625, after making allowance for .£II,OCT, handed over by the receiver. Mr. David Fell referred to the serious effect of the strike, and hoped that there would be no recurrence. He said that the outlook and prospects had greatly improved, and the Federal Government had recognised the importance of the oil industry by granting a bounty. -Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
