CAR IN GULLY
FURTHER INEORMATION. Further information has bean received by the police regarding the ownership of the motor-car which was iound on Friday br the officials in a ravine on tho Wellington side of the Rimutaka Range. It appears that the accident took place abent two weeks ago, in the manner described by Superintendent Norwood in Saturday's Dom’nion. Iho car nas the property of Mr. David Gallighan. of Taianaki Street, who was in company with several mon when th,o accident occurred While a bl6w-out was being repaired, rhe "chocks” under Ihe wheels slipped, and tho motor-car dashed from tho road, over the edge, into the gully, No report was made to the police. A »,oto -cyclist, who has since been identified reported the- matter on Friday on arrival at Featherston. The police had the greatest difficulty in obtaining information on Friday, nnd state that it woqld save a great deal of unnecessary trouble were such matters promptly reported after occurrence. As it was, the headquarters officials wore forced to engage in an unnecessary trip.
