KENNEL CLUB EXHIBITION HIGH QUALITY OF THE ANIMALS The thirty-third annual show of thsV ®}" ling ton Kennel Club was opened yest\' day in tile No. J shed «,f the Wellington Harbour Hoard. The number of exhibits is less than in many previous shews..bin the qttality ia said by competent to bo better. The nunflier of entries is over 200, but even so there were many absentees. Last year there were £ia entries. In the various terrier classes, ana In tlie pointer, setter, and bulldog sections there are fair entries, and the. toy/breeds also are well represented. This year tno Kennel Club was fortunate in being able to secured the services of Mr. 8- Crabtree to judge all the breeds. Mr. Crabtree, who is making a world tour, /i?,. nised English authority approved by the English Kennel Club. Mr. Crabtree has Officiated ns judge at shows in Canada and America, and recently judgedl at the show held in Dunedin by, the Dunedin Fanciers' Club. Messrs. E. Bernasconi and P W? Willson are the show managers. The prize-list is aS follows:— Greyhounds.—lire. A. Drinkwater won In all three classes with the imported bitch Failsworth Selph. this being the only N.Z.-bred bitches: Mrs. E. Kerr's Mrs. E. L. Richards won in all three classes with Peggy, a New /-.ear land-bred bitch. . . Great Danes—Mr. Kirks was the only exhibitor and secured a first prize. Pointers—Puppy dogs, under 12 months. D. Hooper's Konini Bang, and the same dog won in the junior dog classes.
