JUVENILE COURT
4 Thine lads were charged in the Juvenile Court on Saturday morning with stealing on May 28 six Gillette razors and a variety of other goods, of the total value of .£2O, the property of the Wairarapa harm er s’ Co-operative Association, also with theft on June 19 or one cashbox and £2l 17s. 6d. in money, total value £24 17s. 6d., the property o. the Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-operative Association. All three boys pleaded guilfy. Chief Detective Ward said that one of the lads had been in tho employ of the Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operativo Assosiation. Lambton Quay, and he schemed with the other boys that he should secrete jiimself in the shop ajid let them In when the premises were closed, This was carried out on May 28 when the razors and other goods were taken. Ihe removal of the cashbox was effected during tho dinner hour, and tho box was hidden until tho premises were closed, when tho contents wore shared. All threo lads wore placed on probation for n period of two years each, and two of the elder lads were ordered to receive each twelve strokes with a birch.
