ULIMAROA FROM SYDNEY. The Huddart-Parlier steamer Ulimaroa. arrived from Sydney shortly before 11 o’clock yesterday morning and came alongside No. 1 Queen’s Wharf at about a quarter past twelve. She experienced a rough trip across the Tasman Sea, encountering strong south-westerly gales and heavy seas throughout the trip. She left) Sydney at 2 p.m. on Thursday. The Ulimaroa brought: transhipments ex Cooee, Annara, Pollenzo, Hwah Ping. She is to sail at noon on Thursday for Sydney. MANY VESSELS DELAYED. The wet' weather yesterday and the heavy southerly gale have delayed many vessels both in 33’ellington. and other ports and off the coast. Tho Katoa was sheltering at Capo Kidnapper and there are no doubt, many other vessels also sheltering. The Karamu, 33averley, Storm 3Viurau, 3Vakatu, Kapuni, Kennedy, Alexander and several other coastal craft have been delayed in 33’ellington. They are expected to clear port to-day. KIA ORA FROM AUCKLAND. The Kia Ora 1b expected to leave Auckland on Saturday for IVellinglon, *'>d is due hero next Monday. She hue Montreal cargo for discharge, and is tlien to proceed to New Plymouth and .\ anganui to load. She will return to V cl* lington to complete, and is timed to sail from hero for London about July 29. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. M. 0. Langdale, chief officer of the Waihora, is ashore on leave. Mr. A. E. Rawlins has joined the Kamo as second mate, vice Mr. J. D. Parmenter. Mr. W. Brown, third mate of the Uumaroa. will leave tho vessel here. Captain Corby has succeeded Captain Platts as master of the Kakapo. MANUKA FROM SYDNEY. The Manuka is to leave Sydney on Thursday for IVellington and is due here on Monday. She will sail from here on July 7 on tho return trip. KARAMEA’S MOVEMENTS. The S.S. and A. liner Karamea is timed to leave Timaru to-day for Lyttelton. She is duo here next Sunday to bunker and will sail for London on July 9. JI.M.S. MARAMA. The H-.M.S. Marama. which left Sydney on Saturday, is due here to-morrow and is to sail for San Francisco, via Rarotonga and Papeete at 3 p.m. ou Thursday. PORT KEMBLA LEAVES KEMBLA. The C. and D. liner Port Kembla left Port Kembla on Saturday for Lyttelton, from which port she will proceed t-o Napier and IVellington. She is timed to sail from lltellington on July 21 for Loudon. TAIROA DUE TO-DAY. The S,S. and A. liner Tairoa is due today from Lyttelton. She is to sail on Friday for Brisbane and Sydney. She will go to London from Australia via South Africa. The Opua is expected from Lyttelton tomorrow and will sail ou 13 ednesday for Tarakohe to load for New Plymouth. Tao Komata is te sail to-morrow for Westport to load for AVellington. ITie Kamo sailed for Picton last night to load for Onehunga. , „ Tho Katoa was sheltering at Cape Kidnapper yesterday, but is expected in port to-day.
