OLYMPIC HARRIERS

The weekly run of the Olympic Harrier Club was held from tho Seatoun tea rooms. K. Griffen. Moore, and Scatchard went out with the paper. The pack, numbering thirty-seven, started about a minute after the trail-laj ers, and soon showed they were out to catch them. Tho trail led up oyer the. Seatoun tunnel, along the hills to Lyall Bay, and then along the beach for about half n mile. Here several of the faster runners began to cutch up the trail-layers. Across tho sand-hills to Miramar the pack began to string out. and on the hills behind the gasworks Wiren began to show to advantage. Up through the cowyards. then across to tho Miramai tram terminus, the trail-layers tried to pull away, but again Wiren showed to advantage on the rough going, and going up the Seatoun Heights was only twenty yards behind. The paper led along the hills towards Fort Ballance for half a mile, then took a turn down to tho Karaka Bay Road, and so back to Seatoun. Although only the second run for Mooro ho showed he is able to hold his own with the best. The usual runin was dispensed with, making it a tenmile run through. Next Saturday the run will bo held from Mr. Steptoe s house, Queen’s Park.
