TREATMENT OF CANCER
REMARKABLE CLAIM FOR NEW X-RAY APPARATUS. London, June 25, That it is possible to euro at least 80 per cent, of cases of cancer is tho remarkable claim of the authorities of the West: London Hospital for the new X-ray apparatus which has recently been installed. It. is tho invention of a Bavarian radiologist, and employs rays oi wave lengths hitherto unattained. The statement has aroused the greatest interest amongst medical men. A special demonstration is being hold to-day. The hospital authorities are enthusiastic and consider that surgical treatment will soon bo out of date. The new is painless, and tho patient is'able to read, smoke, and converse. Ono medical man comments that as the work is only in tho experimental stage it is too early to dogmatise, but developments will be watched with hope and interest.—“ The Times.’’
