WIRELESS FROM THE KIA OBA. The S>S. and A. liner Kia Ora has wirelessed to say she expects to arrive at Auckland from Montreal on Friday evening. The Kia Ora has cargo for discharge at Auckland and Wellington, and from here will go to New Plymouth and Wanganui to load, returning to Wellington to complete, flho is timed to sail from Wellington for London about Jniv 29.

THE EASTERN CROWN. The Eastern Crown arrived at Auckland from New York on Saturday morning. She sailed from the American port on May 6, and arrived at Colon on Mar 18. passing through the canal the same day. A direct course was then set, for Auckland. The vessel met with flue weather until approaching tho New Zealand coast, when she experienced strong north-east winds and moderate seas. The steamer brought a cargo of case oil and general merchandise, and after discharging the Auckland portion of her freight she will proceed to Napier, IVeilington, and Australia. The Eastern Crown, which fa in command of Captain Rose, was built in Japan about two years ago for the American Shipping Board. She is a very up-to-date cargo vessel, and in addition to being eouipped with modern appliances for handling of cargo, she ha,s very comfortable Quarters for her officers and crew. Her dimensions are: Length, '4ooft.; breadth. 54ft. 6in.; depth, 30ft. THE SYDNEY STEAMERS. The Moeraki will receive cargo to-day, and is to sail at 10 a.m. to-morrow for Sydney. The Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa la due to leave Sydney to-morrow for Wellington, and Is due here on Monday. She will leave WeUington on the return trip the following Thursday. WAIHORA DUE FRIDAY. t Tho Union Company’s steamer Waihora left Newcastle on. Saturday for Wellington, and is due here on Friday. She has a full load of coal for discharge. HINEMOA DUE TO-MORROW. The Government steamer Hinemoa left Onehunga yesterday morning for Manukau Heads. Stephen Island, and Wellington. She is due here to-morrow. WAIMANA REPORTED. A Press Association message from Homo states that tho S.S. and A. liner Waimana, which left Wellington on May 2 for the United Kingdom, arrived at London' on Monday. WAIOTAPU AT AUCKLAND. 8 Tho Union Company's freighter Walotapu arrived at Auckland from Vancouver and Ban / Francisco on Monday. After loading case oil. timber and general cargo, tho vessel left the American port on May 26 for Auckland. She only made one stop <n route, when she called, in at Manahlkl. Island on June 10. She met with fine weather throughout tho voyage. After discharge of the Auckland portion of her cargo the Walotapu bAUr on Thursday for Wellington. Captain. A. E. Barlow la in command. CANASTOTA FROM SYDNEY. The V.B. and A. steamer Canastota had not put in an appearance un to a late hour last , night, and no word had been received from the vessel. She left Sydney last Monday week, bound for Wellington, to load for Boston and New York, and was due here on Saturday. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. E. 11. Green, fifth engineer of the Mararoa. has left that vessel. Mr. J. R. Birmingham, anßistant-purser of the Malaita, has left that vessel, and Mr. J. P. Noonan has joined in his stead. Mr. R. H. Warren, fourth engineer of the Malaita. has left that vessel. Captain G. B. Bates, who brought the Huddart-Parker Company’s new steamer Nairana out from Home, is at present on holiday leave. Mr. C. J. Hackworth has rejoined the Moeraki as second officer, vice Mr. Berry, man, who has reverted to his position as third officer. The following steamers were expected to bo within range of the undermentioned wireless stations last night:—Awanui— Makura. Waikawa, Koromiko. Port Sydney, Waihora. Trevose. The Onawa put into Picton. The departure of the Ngahore for Greymouth has been postponed until midday to-day. I . , The Kanna, has been delayed, and is not duo from Lvt'telton until to-morrow. It is hoped to dispatch her in the evening for Picton and Auckland. Owing to heavy weather at New Plymouth yesterday the Suffolk was unable to berth. „ , , The Karamu and the Kamo are both due from Grevmouth to-morrow. The Kaiwarra is expected to leave Port Kemble to-dav for Wellington. Messrs. Burns. Philp ffdvire that transhipments from Japan and Hong-Kong arrived by the Moeraki on Monday.
