FORTUNE TELLING ALLEGED
CHARGE AGAINST THREE WOMEN.

Charges of fortune telling, contrary to the provisions of section 224 of tho Justices of the Peace Act, were preferred against Sarah Taylor Coventry, Catherine Stanton, and Harriett Coupland before the Magistrate, Mr. M'Carthy, today. In regard to the two first-named defendants, it was contended that they were members of the Spiritualistic Church, and looked upon foretelling the future as part of their religion. Decision was reserved.
