There are few more interesting figures In the musical world of to-day than the three famous young Russian instrumentalists, Leo, Jan, Mischel Cherninvskv. Since their first appearance on the public concert platform twenty years ago there is no civilised country that they have not visited. Their reminiscences of (ravel are most interesting, and their knowledge of audiences is remarkable. Since their last visit to New Zealand these famous musicians have played with enormous success in America and Canada. New York critics gave them special praise for their wonderful playing. During their forthcoming four ot New Zealand they will ploy the masternieces of musical composition for violin, piano, and ’cello, in addition to -do rhiTnbers. ‘Oeseri'binjx their visit to loronto, Canada, the Toronto "Daily News fiavs- "Toronto has heard many great nnd wonderful musicians, but Toronto bn-- never known anything more intinsting in' music than was heard when Ueo, Jan. and Mischel Chernmvskv. the young Russian musicians, played here for the first time.” Their concerts in the Grand Opera House should attract big audiences.
