PORT CHALMERS. Arrived. —Corinna (7.10 a.m.). from Wellington. ARAWA FROM LONDON. An arrival in port yesterday morning was the cihaw. Suvill, and Albion Company’s liner Arawa from Southampton and London, via Panama. Ane steamer left the English.' coast on May 5. and experienced an uneventful voyage. Very line weather prevailed on tne run from the Panama Canal to Wellington. The Arawa arrived in the stream at 9.40 a.m.. and berthed at the King s Wharf early in the afternoon. iSne brought a large number of saloon passengers and about 90 immigrants lor various New Zealand ports. Mr. Thureton is chief officer, Mr. Carroll second, and Mr. Kenna third. Mr. J. Naismith is chief engineer. Mr. O. Ramsden purser, and Mr. J. E. Lain, chief steward. PAKEHA HEAVES LONDON. The S.S. and A. Line are in receipt of cabled information that the Pakeha left I.ondon on Thursday for Wellington and other New Zealand porte. She has P as ' sengers aboard, and is due here about July 31. WIRELESS FROM THE WANGARATTA. A wireless message has . been received from the Wangaratta stating that the vessel may be expected to arrive in the stream from London to-morrow morning. The Wangaratta comes in ballast and is to load under the Federal Line agency, nt. Wellington, Napier, Timaru, and Ljttelton. It has not yet been decided in what order she will work these ports.
GALLIC’S ALTERED SAILING DATE. The SS. and A. Line advise that they expect finally to dispatch the Gallic frorn Lyttelton for London on Friday next, instead of on Wednesday as previously announced.
CANADIAN GOVERNMENT LINE. The Canadian Winner is due to-day at Auckland from Vancouver, and will later sail for Australia. She is to return t Auckland afterwards. Owing to the rough weather on Saturday the Blenheim was unable to go out to Terawhiti to pick up wool. The Kamo sailed for Greymouth on Saturday to load for Wellington. The Wairau will come off the slip today, and is to resume in the Blenheim rrfnning on Wednesday. As a result of the Baden Powell haying been delayed nt Lyttelton, her departure on the return trip has been postponed until to-morrow. Wet weather at Dunedin has been responsible for delaying the John, which is not now expected here until 31 ednesday. or Thursday. From here the John is ta go to Wanganui. , . ... ... Messrs. Dalgety and Co. advise that the Eastern Crown arrived at Auckland from New York on Saturday. After gome to Napier to discharge she will come on to Wellington. She is due here on Juno JJ.
