A meeting of South African War veterans was held in Masterton on Friday night, when Mr. L. de Launay delivered an address with reference to the proposal to organise a Dominion South African Campaigners’ Association, He explained that the object of the new body was to obtain (lie same concessions for its members ar, were granted to men who served in the recent war. After some discussion it was resolved to fall in with Mr. do Txiunny’s scheme, and (o call u meeting Inter for tile election of officers. The following committee was appointed to act. pro tom: Messrs. Harley, Donald, Boyd, A. K. Johnston, and Barnes.
