HOSPITAL IN THE LEAD ( At Association Park on Saturday, Thistle drew with Y.M.C.A. (two nil), and Institute defeated Marist by tliree goals to one. the matches were not played' under ideal con-, ditions, as the grounds were wet, the balls were greasy, and durinn- most of the time a strong northerly was blowing.
THISTLE V. Y.M.C.A. The Thistle-Y.M.C.A. match was a hardfought struggle, which the spectators followed with very keen interest. In too first spell. Y.M.C.A., played, with the wind and succeeded in registering two points, the credit for both of which is due to Ballard. Although Thistle replied with only one goal (obtained by. Campbell) their nlay gave spectators the impression that If Y.M.C.A. did not work very hard the fortunes of the match < bo reversed. A and Thjstle each dropped a point by playing the drawn game at Association Park. Porirun, accounted for Y.M.C.A.
