THE ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Wellington Bowling Centre was held m the Wellington Bowling Club's pavilion last evening, and Mr. F. Meadowcroft, the president, "The annual report, already published, and the balance-sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows) :—President, Mr. M. J. Hodgins (Hutt); vice-president, Mr. M • I'son (Johnsonville); ’ treasurer, Mi - M O V. Dimock (Island Bay); hon. auditor. Mr. E. A. Liddle (WellingtorJ ; executive committee, the whole of. th delegates, the quorum to bo ten. Nominations of two members of tho eoum.il (North Island) of the pinion of N Z B.A. resulted in Messrs. L • Myadoivcroft and S. H. Underwood being nominated. -ir,„i„,.. The hon. secretary (Mr. S. H. Undid wood) was voted a bonus of J— u os. Morrah ns hon. treasurer vas ordered to be recorded in the minutes. A votes of thanks was accorded the retiring officers. EXECUTIVE MEETING.
The meeting of the executive committee followed, and Mr. M. J. Hodgins, the new president, took the chair. Mr Hodgins thanked those present for electing him to the position. and said he recognised that it was intended as a compliment to his club. Mr. S. 11. Underwood was elected lion, secretary. „ , , , , Tho Wellington Bowling Club wrote, stating that the green would not bo available for bowl testing. It was stated that in the past a green had boon prepaied for this purpose, and very little use liaf. been made of it. Several members stated that green testing was a thing oi tho past, and that table testing was the proper thing. The directors of the Wellington Club had been much, impressed bv a lecture delivered by Mr. Murray tho official tester. It was decided to ask Mr. Murray to give an address io all in1e rest eel in bowling as to the morns oi table tasting as compared with green testing of bowls.
