THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY
AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for moderate to strong north-westerly to south-westerly winds. Weather changeable and showery, particularly on the West Coast and southern districts. Barometer unsteady. A disturbance passed southward of Cook Strait last night, nnd it is now centred about Chatham Islands. Beneficial rains have fallen on the East Coast of the South Island, and rain is still reported on the West Coast and southern districts. Fair to cloudy weather has ruled to-day. I). C.
