WOOL PROFITS
MR. MASSEY’S NEGOTIATIONS CONFIDENT OF SATISFACTORY SETTLEMENT By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. June 10, 9.5 p.m.) London, June 9. A “Daily Telegraph" correspondent states that serious friction has arisen between Sir. Massey and the Home Government authorities over the New Zealand claims for wool. Mr. Massey, interviewed by the "Telegraph,” gave the whole facts, adding: "The New Zealand producers are only asking what is reasonable. They claim that the Imperial Government’s proposals are not carrying out. the spirit of the agreement. I must say I agree with them, but I know nothing of serious friction. Throughout the. war period the business relations of the two Governments have been of the most pleasant character. lam confident that the difficulty will be settled satisfactorily."—Aus.-N.Z.
