VESSELS. ABLE TO DISCHARGE WITHOUT ENTERING DOCK. London, June 9. Lord Devonport formally opened the Port of London Authority’s new jetty in the Thames at Tilbury. The depth is 30ft. at low water, enabling vessels to discharge without entering the dock. I It is announced that a Bill will shortlv be presented to Parliament to authorise the construction of a floaing passenger landing-stage at Tilbury, equal to those at Liverpool, to allow passengers to embark and disembark alongside the railway station. —Aus.-N.Z.
