A REORGANISATION WHOLE TO FORM ONE REGIMENT '"Hie whole of the N.Z. Territorial Artillery units will now be organised as ono regiment, designated the “New Zealand Artillery,’ ” states a General Headquarters’ instruction just issued. “Coast Artillery companies will be designated as batteries, and all units will bo numbered as shown below: — “A” Battery, N.Z.F.A. (old), Ist Battery, N.Z.A. (18-pr.), (new), Auckland. “G” Battery, N.Z.F.A. (old), 2nd Battery, N.Z. A. (18-pr.), (new), Hamilton; 2nd Battery. N.Z.A. (18-pr.), (new), Auckland; 4th Battery, N.Z.A. (4.5 in. Howitzer), (naw), Auckland. No. 1 Company, N.Z.G.A.. No. 7 Company, N.Z.G.A. (old), 13th Battery, N.Z.A. (Coast Artillery), (new), Auckland. No. 6 Company, N.Z.G-A. (old), 18th Battery, N.Z.A. (6in. Howitzer), (new). Auckland; 20th Battery, N.Z.A. (Pack Artillery), (new), Auckland. CENTRAL COMMAND. “D” Mountain Battery (old), sth Battery, N.Z.A. (18-pr.), (new), Wellington. “F” Battery, N.Z.F.A. (old), 6th Battery, N.Z.A. (18-pr.), (new), Napier; 7th Battery, N.Z.A. (18-pr.), (new), Palmerston North; Bth Battery, N.Z.A. (4.5 in. (18-pr.), (new), Christchurch.; 10th Battery, N.Z.A. (18-pr.), (new), Christchurch. “C" Battery, N.Z.F.A. (old), 11th Battery N.Z.A. (18-pr.), (new), Invercargill. “B” Battery, N.Z.F.A. (old), 12th Battery, N.Z.A. (4.5 in. Howitzer), (new), Dunedin. No. 2 Company, N.Z.G.A. (old), 14th Battery, N.Z.A; (6in. Howitzer),' (new), Dunedin. No. 4 Company, N.Z.G.A. (old), 16th Battery, N.Z.A. (Pack Artillery), (new), Lyttelton. The heavy batteries (6in. howitzers and 60-pounders) will be the first of their kind in New Zealand. Under the new scheme "Wellington has one of each.
