WEST COAST MINING TOWNS
VISIT OF THE MINISTER. By Telegraph.—Presß Association. Westport, June 9. Tho Hon. G. J. Anderson (Minister of Mines) has made a tour of the mining townships of the Buller district, including Denniston, Granity, Millerton, Stock-’ ton, and Seddonville, the last named' being tho scene of co-operative mining on a fairly extensive scale. Deputations were met and various requirements were placed before tho Minister. On his return to town, Mr. Anderson was tendered a civic luncheon and a civio reception. Later he heard deputations regarding the Buller Gorge railway and scientific research into the by-producte of brown coals. The Minister will leave for Nelson in tho morning.
